Louis Vuitton to Launch a Perfume
Some might say that it's about time that Louis Vuitton debuted a fragrance. The luxury brand did try once before in the 1920s and 30s with three fragrances, but sadly they were discontinued. Now the Paris-based brand is jumping back into the perfume business with the recent hiring of award-winning master perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud.
Cavallier-Belletrud is the genius behind top selling scents including Dior Addict and Stella by Stella McCartney. "Making perfume is a magnificent journey, which starts with the quality of the base ingredients,” says Cavallier-Belletrud.
At this time there is no name or a set launch date, however the scent will be distributed exclusively in all 461 Louis Vuitton boutiques worldwide.
Will the fragrance be something sugary-sweet? Perhaps a lovely floral scent? Maybe a bit musky with a hint of leather? Which celebrity or supermodel will be selected to be brand ambassador for the new fragrance?
Will you be first in line for the Louis Vuitton fragrance?
