Dakota Johnson Covers ELLE Magazine March 2014 Issue as Ana Steele

Dakota Johnson strips down for the March 2014 issue of ELLE magazine channeling her alter-ego Anastasia Steele. The sexy twenty-four year-old actress gives us a glimpse as to why she is going to rock the role of leading lady in the highly anticipated film Fifty Shades of Grey. Pictures don't lie and neither does that smoldering gaze or the romantic innocence captured in her expression.

The debates still continue online over casting. Can we move on, please? Can we just accept the fact that the movie is nearly completed and give these actors a chance? I know a lot of people are on the fence about Dakota Johnson being cast as Ana Steele, but I am not and I've been on board with her from day one.I still don't understand why so many people say she is "too old" to play the virginal college student who eventually tames the hot as hell, kinky, tormented Billionaire Christian Grey.

Anyway, I guess haters are gonna hate, so let them have their opinions (even if they are wrong).

Moving on... Besides the obvious instant chemistry she has with co-star, Jamie Dornan (oh yes, you can see it from the behind the scene photos, trust me) it all leads back to that scene with Justin Timberlake in The Social Network. The banter displayed between them in that scene alone tells me how Dakota will approach the famous "interview scene" where she meets Mr. Grey for the very first time. I know you noticed it too, and if you didn't watch it again--think about it.

Johnson is featured on the cover posed innocently on her knees, next to a bed of course, wearing a short-sleeve John Galliano mod-inspired dress paired with sexy black Donna Karan sheer thigh-highs and red Manolo Blanik sandals. Her accompanying editorial features her in more seductive poses wearing pieces from Jason Wu, Missoni, Prabal Gurung and, of course, Christian Louboutin.

My favorite picture is of her sweetly pulling up her lace stalkings wearing a beautiful embellished Burberry Prorsum lace trench coat. Just stunning.

Not only that, but I read a few excerpts from her interview and I really like her. She's ballsy and confident--I like that about her. For instance:

Dakota on why she's right for the role of Anastasia Steele:  “I don’t have any problem doing anything. The secret is I have no shame.”

We all know that Dakota is a go-getter. She lobbied for the role of Ana Steele from the start, admitting she was intrigued by the character and loved the story. Direct from the mouth's of babes:

Dakota on what interested her most in the movie:  “Reading the book, I found myself more interested in the ways they were breaking each other down emotionally than the sex scenes. I think there’s a part of a woman that wants to be the thing that breaks a man down.”

Here's to hoping this editorial calms the storm conjured by the internet trolls and reassures all Fifty Shades fans that Ms. Johnson is/was the only choice for Ana Steele. I know I'll be picking up a copy of the issue when it hits newsstands on February 18th. Will you?

Lea Michele Covers ELLE Magazine December 2013 Issue

Lea Michele is ELLE magazine's December 2013 cover girl. The 27-year-old is featured on the cover looking very rock and roll, wearing a white cotton canvas Ralph Lauren jacket and a pair of distressed Frame Denim jeans with a fabulous vintage metal and leather Chanel belt.

For her accompanying editorial Lea is photographed in various on trend California cool pieces from Prabal Gurung, Derek Lam, Emilio Pucci and Tom Ford.

The Glee star, who tragically lost her boyfriend and co-star, Cory Monteith a few months ago opens up in her interview about how she is handling the loss and how Kate Hudson helped her during the difficult time.

Lea on how she’s handling Cory's death: “I never thought I would be in this position in my whole life. Now that I am in this position, you can choose to rise, and that’s what I’m going to try to do. I know that Cory would want nothing more than for me to take this situation and use it to help people.”

Lea on relying on Kate Hudson after losing Cory: “I called [Kate Hudson] and said, ‘I don’t know where I’m going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters].’ She was like, ‘Oh, you’re going to stay at my house.’ Like it was nothing. No one knew I was there. I’ll never really be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me.”

Lea on taking time to heal: “It’s very hard. And you have to be very strong to come out of this alive, but I think by doing the best for myself, by showing that you don’t have to lose yourself, maybe someone else will feel some sort of strength or comfort.”

Lea on why she never expected her career in television to take off: “I was told my whole life I would never do television because I was too ethnic. I was 100 percent focused and ready to be the best in the world [of Broadway] I was in.”

What do you think of Lea's cover? Will you be picking up a copy when it hits newsstands November 19th?

Katy Perry Covers W Magazine November 2013 Issue

Katy Perry oozes smoldering sexiness on the cover of the November 2013 issue of W Magazine. The 28-year-old is featured on the special edition,Global Style Issue wearing a soft bubblegum pink, chunky Michael Kors knit sweater slightly off the shoulder. I love the vampiness with the kohl-rimmed eye and blown out hair. On the alternate cover Katy is seen donning a sexy white Chanel eye-let tank dress styled with glittering Harry Winston gems.

For her accompanying editorial Katy is photographed wearing  looks from designers like, Michael Kors, Jacob & Co, Ralph Lauren and Altuzarra.

The singer shared everything from what she loved about being married to the meaning of her hit single, "Roar".

Katy on her hit single “Roar”: “This song is about sticking up for yourself. People talk about bullying, but you can be your own bully in some ways. You can be the person who is standing in the way of your success, and that was the case for me. I was having a great professional streak, but personally, I was really immature, so I had to balance those things out. If you are not happy with something, you should change it. So I went to a lot of therapy, and finally, I am able to speak up for myself: You are going to hear me roar!

Katy on dating her boyfriend John Mayer: I actually am dating my crush. I had a crush on him for a long time, and it just so happens we fit together great.

Katy on being married: Of course. I really loved it. It was a new, fun, exciting journey. But I like how I am now, and I think all things happen for a reason.

Jennifer Aniston Covers Glamour September 2013 Issue

Jennifer Aniston covers Glamour's September 2013 Issue which is themed, The Hollywood Issue in a sexy black Narciso Rodriquez lingerie inspired slip dress and Jennifer Meyer jewels. Who, but Aniston could be more perfect to grace the cover than one of tinsel town's most famous "It-Girls?" For her accompanying editorial she is photographed wearing a bevy of high fashion looks from Narciso Rodriquez, Valentino and Saint Laurent in her favorite color, black.

Her We Are The Millers co-star, Jason Sudeikis interviewed the 44-year-old beauty and she talked about everything from being happy to her fiance, Justin Theroux. Here are a few excerpts:

Jennifer on her fiance Justin Theroux: “I know Justin, for instance, has extremely amazing paternal instincts. Because [growing up] he had to sort of become the parent. I think when you have to become the parent when you’re a younger person, you learn those instincts.”

Jennifer on becoming happy: “[But] you can undo a lot of things. If you’re not happy, you can become happy. Happiness is a choice. That’s the thing I really feel. Like with friends who refuse to get happy, who refuse to rise above the discomfort of where they’re at. You actually deserve to have a family. And once you meet yourself, and truly love yourself, then you attract that. And look—I mean, [Jason and I] found these two, beautiful, loving, open people.”

Jennifer on relating to Jason's fiance, Olivia Wilde's Controversial Sex Speech: “I was so pissed. Because I related to it — I related to that f**king feeling of people just wanting to rip down the powerful, beautiful woman who [speaks her mind]. Stuff like that’s so sh*tty. I don’t like injustice. We’re living in a time where, whether it’s the Internet or tabloids, being sh*tty has become a sport. We’re just grown-up bullies. We literally could not need to have our hearts more open than in these times.”

Olivia Wilde Covers FASHION Magazine's September 2013 Issue

Olivia Wilde is FASHION magazine's September 2013 cover girl. The 29-year-old actress is featured on the covering wearing a striking feather embellished mesh Gucci gown.

For her interview she talks about her scandalous role in the upcoming film, Rush, her philanthropic project with Anthropologie and how that famous Marchesa ballgown she wore to the Golden Globes made her an style star.

Olivia on her stylish yet scandalous role in Rush: “It is based on a true story. I play Suzy Miller—who was James Hunt’s first wife. Suzy ended up leaving [James] for Richard Burton—who left Elizabeth Taylor for Suzy. My job in the film was to tell the story of James’s tumultuous marriage, which was very Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? messy… I got to wear archive Gucci head to toe through the movie!”

Olivia on her 2011 Golden Globes Marchesa ballgown: “People remember what you wear. At the Golden Globes in 2011, I wore a brown Marchesa ball gown that people still stop me on the street to ask me about—which I think is so funny. I never thought I’d be recognized for a dress. [Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig] really understand my body and I love when they take risks. I think they’re one of the more adventurous design teams.”

Olivia on her fashion passion project with designer Yoana Baraschi and Anthropologie: “I really wanted to find a creative alternate way of fundraising. With Anthropologie, I’ve partnered [my organization] Conscious Commerce with Yoana and we have designed this really adorable dress that we’ll launch in the fall, which will raise money for a girls’ school in Calcutta called New Light. It is also an orphanage that saves young women from entering the commercial sex trade—which is a huge problem in the red light district of Calcutta.”

Claire Danes Covers Vogue August 2013 Issue

Claire Danes rocks a sleek two-tone Burberry Prorsum trench coat on the cover of Vogue's August 2013 issue. For her accompanying editorial, the 34-year-old star is photographed with her Homeland co-star, Damian Lewis and is featured wearing eye-catching fall pieces from Calvin Klein Collection, Donna Karan, Victoria Beckham, Narciso Rodriquez and Hermès. I especially love the red silk Donna Karan sheath and the sexy silver Narciso Rodriquez gown.

Inside, Claire dishes on everything from having trouble landing roles after her award winning performance for Temple Grandin, becoming a mom and thoughts on today's female movie stars.

Claire on attending the Golden Globes as a new mom: “I went on the red carpet, went upstairs, fed Cyrus. Went into the ceremony, got the award, went back to feed Cyrus, went out again. . . . Then it was ‘Now you meet the president.’ I had these new boobs; I’m wearing a big Jessica Rabbit dress, and I’d been living in sweat pants for so long. . . . It was strange. It was dreamy, surrounded by my parents and my husband. It was one of the best nights of my life because of this perfect mash-up.”

Claire on today’s female movie stars: “I’m so impressed by Jennifer Lawrence and Carey Mulligan. They have this exquisite taste. They are very gifted in their ability to make great choices. I didn’t have that rudder. There’s the movie star that plays herself and the movie star like Meryl [Streep] that has this wonderful, glamorous persona intact and is undone every time she takes on a new character. I think I’m astounded and titillated by that.”

On not getting work after Temple Grandin: “I was stuck… It was confusing. I got a lot of plaudits, and it didn’t translate into more work. I was really, really struggling during that time. It was grim. I was very hurt. Two years of not working was brutal. And a point came where I thought, I really like interior design. Someone suggested, ‘Maybe your real success is in your personal life.’”

Amanda Seyfried Covers ELLE Magazine's August 2013 Issue

Amanda Seyfried covers ELLE magazine's August 2013 issue wearing a bejeweled silk lace top and brief both by Dolce & Gabbana paired with a yellow gold and diamond Jennifer Meyer cuff.

For her accompanying editorial the 27-year-old actress is photographed wearing sexy looks from Burberry Prorsum, Simone Rocha, Saint Laurent and  Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci. Inside the issue she dishes on everything from her upcoming role in Lovelace and her ex-boyfriend Dominic Cooper.

Personally, I cannot wait to see Lovelace. If you haven't seen the trailer for the movie, you can view it here. There are so many big names in the cast and fashions look to be incredible. Who doesn't want to see James Franco play a young Hugh Hefner?

Amanda on her ex-boyfriend Dominic Cooper: "We love each other… He'll always be in my life regardless of what his girlfriends or future wife think. I'm never going to be with a guy that can't deal with my friendship with him."

Amanda on sexual attraction: “Everybody I’ve dated I’ve been sexually attracted to immediately. Sparks don’t grow- your vagina doesn’t become more inclined to wanting someone just because you’re around them.”

Amanda on her current crush: “[He’s] someone separate from my industry life- I’ve known him since he was 16… I picture him as the father of my children all the time. But it is a fantasy right now.”

Amanda on choosing Lovelace: “I read the script and I was like, ‘Wow, this is the riskiest thing that’s happening [in Hollywood] right now.’ The first thing you think about is that it could have ruined my career. At the same time, I was like, ‘This is my chance to show them, to show the industry, to be recognized.’”

Olivia Wilde Covers InStyle August 2013

Olivia Wilde is InStyle magazine's August 2013 cover girl, wearing a casual cool ensemble for fall, pairing a multi-colored Chanel jacket with a pair of Guess dark rinse jeans.

Inside, the 29-year-old actress dishes on some details about her upcoming wedding, including that she will be donning a gown from designer Monique Lhuillier for her big day.

Here are a few excerpts from her interview:

Olivia on her bridesmaids dresses: “[Rather than forcing] that tortured tradition of forcing them to wear a ridiculous dress they’ll never wear again…they’ll have a real creation tailored for each of them. They can dye it black or purple and wear it forever.”

Olivia on her fiance Jason Sudeikis: “I like having a real partner. It’s the model I grew up with. It’s part of why I was able to take so many chances in my life, because I felt like someone was watching my back. I could never imagine life without someone I respect, someone who offers me infinite possibilities. There are spikes and dips and plateaus in this business. I’ve seen couples fall apart through it, and it is heartbreaking. You wonder what will happen—will he love me if I’m not as successful? Will jealousy kill us? I know there will be times when Jason is working more than I am, but I’m actually excited by that. I’m excited by what he will become, what depth he has.”

Olivia on her confidence: “I’m pretty comfortable in my own skin. I’m not the neurotic type. I don’t think there are things lurking everywhere to destroy me. I live pretty much in the present.”

Emma Watson Covers Teen Vogue August 2013 Issue

Emma Watson is Teen Vogue's August 2013 cover girl! This marks the fourth time the young star has graced the magazine's glossy cover. From her previous covers, I think this one is truly her best. Her edgy hairstyle and jewels, combined with the natural makeup and soft, off-the-shoulder sweater give this look a striking balance.

Inside the issue, which hits newsstands July 2nd, the 23-year-old British beauty talks about everything from red carpet events to her future plans.

Emma on her early success: “I think, in a way, I was very protected during Harry Potter, because I was working all the time. I would get in the car, go to the studio, and go home… It’s past the point now. Harry Potter was so massive, I don’t know if [my other projects] would even touch it, honestly, even make a dent.”

Emma on walking the red carpet: “Every now and again, I feel a bit wobbly before hitting a red carpet. So it’s always nice to bring friends, especially because I love to see their reactions. It’s not normal to get out of a car and have, like, 80 people screaming at you, and so when they say, ‘This is crazy,’ it makes me feel slightly more sane.”

Emma on her plans for the future:
“I wish so badly that I could have a plan. I’m someone who likes to be organized and know what she’s doing, and this industry just does not permit that in any shape or form. You never know when a movie is going to start, if it’s going to get financing, where it’s going to be.”

Lauren Conrad Covers Marie Claire July 2013 Issue

Lauren Conrad, looking every bit the Southern California girl she is, is featured on the cover of Marie Claire's July 2013 issue wearing an electric yellow Fausto Puglisi curve-hugging dress featuring a black and white, polka-dot bodice. For her accompanying editorial, the fashion designer dons a plethora of hot summer pieces from Emilio Pucci, Fausto Puglisi and her own line, Paper Crown. Inside she dishes on everything from why she started writing to her boyfriend, William Tell.

Lauren on why she started writing: “I only ever got to tell half of my story. People are very quick to judge these days, especially behind the anonymity of a screen name. It’s very easy to say, ‘I hate her, I hate what she wore, she seems mean.’ But you’re only seeing a small fraction of her life.”

Lauren on the negativity: “There is always gonna be a little bit of…negativity, which just comes with the territory. You realize it doesn’t matter. It’s so simple, but it’s a very hard lesson to learn. At the end of the day, it doesn’t really affect you in any way.”

Lauren on her boyfriend, William Tell: “He is very good for me because we have a lot in common as far as where we grew up. It’s the first time I’m with someone and I’m not explaining things. He also has experience in the entertainment industry, so he understands a lot of things that people don’t always get.”

What to you think of Lauren's cover? Will you be picking up a copy, when it hits newsstands on June 18th?
