Oh, Tom Ford. You've sparked quite the debate, haven't you?
The outspoken (and, if I might say so, extremely attractive) designer was quoted last week as saying, "a man should never wear shorts in the city."
He goes on to say that flip-flops are also not appropriate and shorts on men should be confined to the "beach and tennis court."
I don't know about you, but that seems a little (or a lot) unpractical. Let's not kid ourselves -- men like to be comfortable. Now, obviously, I don't expect to see men coming in and out of law offices sporting board shorts and Tevas. Or on a first date for that matter.
But, the shorts/flip-flops combo on a man is just very natural (at least to me).
However, Ford goes on to make an interesting point on working: "People who do not work are so boring and are usually bored. You have to be passionate."
What do you think? Is it time for your man to chuck the ship-flop look?
