The arrival of spring brings about thoughts of outdoors, sunshine (finally), potential new loves, and saying a hearty good-bye to those tired winter clothes....and fragrances.
One walk past the counter at Macy's awhile back told me one thing -- designers are going all out this spring to make sure you choose their scent as your signature for the quickly-approaching warmer months.
Island Michael Kors/Palm Beach ($60 for 1.7 oz) provides a mix of citrus and jasmine -- two very popular essences this season. Kors is also offering some goodies if you purchase a gift set (and let's be frank, who doesn't love that?).
Gucci Envy Me ($52 for 1.0 oz) has hints of peony, pomegranate, and pineapple. It's a clean, crisp combination perfect for a night of sitting on a balcony with a glass of Chianti with that special someone.
DKNY Be Delicious Juiced is another new arrival. Donna Karan brings together an airy mix of peony, lily, and white amber ($36 for 1.0 oz). DKNY's "Be Delicious" perfumes have been around for a bit already -- this is merely a new addition in the highly-recognizable apple-shaped bottle line.
Lolita Lempicka comes to us by way of French label, Lolita Bis ($50 for 1.0 oz). This is a fragrance a friend of mine introduced to me and can only be described in one word: sensual. Traces of ivy, violet, iris, and vanilla make this an extremely flirty scent.
Without a doubt, spring's latest fragrant offerings will last longer than a bouquet of flowers any day and will possibly catch the nose of a new special someone!
